How can Apple Watch help your hand hygiene?
Washing your hands helps prevent many diseases, from coronavirus to food poisoning.

Studies show that hands become clean after 20 seconds of washing. However, the WHO guidelines for health care workers say you should take 40-60 seconds to wash your hands.

You should wash your hands not only after coming home or going to the toilet, but also after coming into contact with new objects, before changing clothes and before eating, before and during meal preparation, after touching an animal, before and after helping a child or a seriously ill person with hygiene procedures, and after coughing or sneezing.

Turn on Handwashing:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Tap Handwashing, then turn on Handwashing Timer;
2. When Apple Watch detects that you’ve started washing your hands, it starts a 20-second timer. If you stop washing in fewer than 20 seconds, you’re encouraged to finish the job.
Apple Watch can remind you to wash your hands shortly after returning home.
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch;
2. Tap Handwashing, then turn on Handwashing Reminders.
